The same borrowing base. Nobody on your team builds it.
The certificate works the way your lender's does today. What changes is how the inputs arrive: instead of your billing office, A/R and treasury pulling reports and filling in a spreadsheet, our agents read them directly from your EMR and your bank, and a person on our team signs off.
Same certificate. You stop sending it.
Today You submit it
Every period, your team assembles and sends a full borrowing base certificate:
- Census report from PointClickCare, MatrixCare or DKS
- Bank statements
- A/R aging and roll-forward
- Every value on the certificate, plus the roll-forward projections
The lender checks it, re-keys it, and sends availability back.
With Focus We pull it
Our agents pull all of it directly from your side:
- Census, read straight from PointClickCare, MatrixCare or DKS
- Bank and lockbox activity, read straight from your accounts
- A/R aging and roll-forward, read straight from your EMR
- The certificate and projections, built for you and checked by a person on our team
You see it in your portal and click to request funding.
Prefer to send it yourself? You don't have to give us view access. Upload your census, aging, roll-forward and bank statements through the portal and we build the same certificate from them. Availability refreshes each time you upload, and you can connect your systems later.
From census to what you can draw today.
Every line is calculated by payor class: Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid pending, managed Medicare, managed Medicaid, commercial and private. Figures below are for one illustrative nursing home.
Census and unbilled
Census days this month, by payor, times each payor's average daily rate. That is the revenue you have earned but not yet billed.
Prior-period A/R
Last month-end aging by payer, laid out by service month, plus the unbilled from step A.
Liquidity and ENR
Each aging bucket counts at its ENR percentage, then each payor's total is multiplied by its liquidity factor: how much of that payor's billing actually turns into cash.
Availability by payor
Less credits over 150 days, cross-aged balances, specific ineligibles such as Medicaid pending with no application, and cash already received since the aging date.
Advance rate, reserves and limit
Times the advance rate, less any overpayment or other reserves, and never above the loan limit.
Loan
Less the outstanding loan after the lockbox sweeps. What is left is what you can request today, with one click.
Click any line. See where it came from.
In your portal, every figure on the certificate opens to the record behind it: the census pull from your EMR, the deposit from your lockbox, the row in your aging. Nothing is typed in by hand, so nothing has to be taken on faith.
The numbers lenders usually don't explain.
Most of the difference between your A/R and your availability comes from two factors. We show you where both come from.
- Liquidity factor
- How much of each payor's billing turns into cash. Six months of collections divided by six months of revenue, lagged one month, and capped by the loan agreement. If commercial sits at 87.5% and Medicaid pending at 65%, you see exactly why.
- ENR percentage
- How much each aging bucket counts. Full value through 60 days for every eligible payor, stepping down by payor through 150 days, and zero after that.
We see it before your availability does.
A drop in availability is the last thing to move. These move first, and you hear about them from us while there is still time to act.
Agents gather. A person signs.
Every certificate checks itself before anyone sees it, and then a person on our team reviews and approves it.
- Tie-outs
- A/R on the certificate against the aging, the aging summary against payer detail, and the roll-forward against ending A/R.
- Mapping
- Any payer in your EHR that is not mapped to a payor class is flagged before the certificate is struck.
- Human sign-off
- A person on our team approves every certificate and every draw. Corrections and their reasons are logged in your portal.
- Permanent record
- Every certificate, correction and approval is kept and cannot be edited after the fact. Your auditors and ours see the same history you do.
Your data stays yours.
You are connecting your EMR and your bank to us. Here is exactly what that means.
